Responsibilities:
- Facilities/Building Maintenance: Maintain and manage all lawn/grounds maintenance and upkeep. Ensure all dealerships have the “resort look” every day, mow, trim, kill weeds, pickup garbage, etc. In the winter, coordinate with management, watch the weather closely and have a plan for snow removal at all stores, as early as possible, ensure coverage to help move cars around, clean cars off, and all sidewalks salted and cleared early enough to ensure customers have clear pathways and are safe. Setup and manage maintenance schedules for various maintenance items, such as, but not limited to-HVAC filters, bathroom batteries, light bulbs, etc.
- Inventory: Ensure all retail units (new, used) at stores are checked daily for cleanliness, spacing, properly displayed and rotated. Wholesale units are parked in designated area and ready for pickup by auction/dealer. Ensure dealer trades are off the lot in a timely manner or on the lot if unit is not sold. Train, coach and develop multiple lot attendants to work autonomously when needed with quality of work . Assist in used car reconditioning process by coordinating pickup/drop off of vehicles at various vendors and other dealers.
- Manage lot attendants and detail Shop: Training and development of all detailers and lot attendants. Create monthly work schedule for department to ensure adequate coverage for Humboldt Ford. Lead/teach staff to work at an effective pace while continuing to be engaged and aware, conduct a weekly meeting for personnel. Recruiting, hiring and terminating, all paperwork associated with each. Update current lot attendant packet, enforce and improve dress code.
- Service Wash and Detailers: Take personal involvement and work closely with service manager and staff to ensure every service wash is getting the time, quality and focus needed to give our customers a great experience. Check car wash frequently for cleanliness, and all components are functioning properly.
- Sold Deliveries: Ensure sold vehicle deliveries are a top priority. That each and every lot attendant is trained properly and understands the sense of quality and urgency that needs to be placed on a sold vehicle delivery.
- New vehicles: Manage check in process for all new cars (Factory and Dealer Trades). Write up all new cars in a timely manner. Submit damage claims when required..
Additional day to day responsibilities:
- Opening Duties: Put out keys in all cars on lot (In the ignitions) Tagged Properly
- Closing Duties: Secure all vehicles, gates and facilities for the night after close of business.
- Retrieve Extra Keys: From Deal Jackets if missing
- Put all available cars on the lot.
- Sweep any trash on lot.
- Help sales managing the placement of Stickers, Plates, and Frames
- Responsible with staff assistance for courtesy transportation
Requirements for employment:
- Good drivers license, driving record and be insurable
- Pass drug tests at time of hire and throughout career
- Ability to be flexible with schedule working to 7PM and some Saturdays
