What are the responsibilities and job description for the BARISTA position at Humboldt General Hospital?
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for the overall operation of the retail coffee line at Humboldt General Hospital. This position provides excellent customer service while simultaneously creating coffee beverages and other specialty foods and beverages in a timely manner as requested.
Nature and Scope:
- Provides excellent customer services to all patrons and visitors.
- Prepares the coffee cart for daily operation by opening the coffee cart as directed.
- Welcomes patrons to the Coffee Cart and provides recommendations on drink and food orders.
- Customizes drinks and other orders as requested by patrons.
- Properly uses the Point of Sale system in order account for all cash and card transactions.
- Accounts and deposits all cash and credit tender at end of day.
- Completes cleaning and side work as directed by management.
- Completes ordering and restocking as directed by management.
- Carries out day end and closing activities daily.
- Upholds the mission and values of the organization on a continual basis.
Job Requirements:
- Previous food beverage and/or coffee (barista) experience is preferred.
- Completion of site specific orientation and training required once hired.
- Completion of ServeSafe training program required within 12 months of hi
