What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Math Teacher *Anticipated position at Humboldt High School?
Humboldt High School has an anticipated Math teacher position opening for the 2025-2026 school year. The right candidate would be able to join an outstanding Math Department comprising 5 teachers that facilitate a highly-effective PLC. Courses currently taught by the HS Math Department are Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra I Strategies, Geometry, Geometry Strategies, Algebra II, Math Topics, College Algebra, ICCC Statistics, ICCC Trigonometry, AP Pre-Calculus, and Personal Money Management. Courses taught by the incoming teacher would be based on the needs of our students, the Math Department, and the skillset of the teacher. Our mission is Learning for Success for All at Humboldt Community School District. Our goal at Humboldt High School is for every student to graduate from Humboldt High School with the skills to be enrollable, enlistable, and/or employable.
Candidates with 5-12 Math endorsement (143) or the ability to obtain one is required. Those with Business endorsements (115, 116, and 117) and/or a background in Computer Science/Engineering (endorsements 278, 279, and 974) are also strongly encouraged to apply.
