What are the responsibilities and job description for the Humboldt High School Language Arts Teacher position at Humboldt High School?
Humboldt High School has a Language Arts teacher opening for the 2025-2026 school year. The right candidate would be able to join an outstanding English Department comprising 4 teachers that facilitate a highly-effective PLC. Courses currently taught by the HS English Department are Language Arts 9, Language Arts 10, LA Arts 9-10 Accelerated, Language Arts 11A (American Literature), Language Arts 11B (British Literature), Language Arts 12, Composition, Poetry, Technical Writing, Speech, Mythology, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Language and Composition. Courses taught by the incoming teacher would be based on the needs of our students, the English Department, and the skillset of the teacher. Our mission is Learning for Success for All at Humboldt Community School District. Our goal at Humboldt High School is for every student to graduate from Humboldt High School with the skills to be enrollable, enlistable, and/or employable.
Candidates with a 5-12 Language Arts endorsement (120 or 1201), or the ability to obtain one, is required. Those with a willingness to obtain conditional licensure are strongly encouraged to apply.
