The Clinical Family Medicine Residents (FMR) Faculty Physician is a Physician with special training and experience in illness assessment and management. He/she has the ability to determine patient status and provide evaluation and treatment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervises clinical training of Family Medicine residents in the hospital’s residency program.
- Evaluates learning process of Family Medicine residents, identifies needs and strives to maximize learning opportunities.
- Conducts teaching rounds with Family Medicine residents in the hospital’s residency program.
- Participates in Morning Report where residents can present and review all appropriate cases.
- Provides supervision of Residents in the Residency continuity clinic.
- Provides supervision and training of medical students.
- Completed rotation end performance evaluation for residents and medical students.
- Curriculum Director as assigned by Program Director.
- Serves as Advisor for assigned residents.
- Serves as admitting physician for Family Medicine Teaching Service as assigned. The schedule of call will be established by the Program Director.
- Supervises maternity care of resident continuity obstetric patients.
- Chair and/or be a member of required residency committee(s)
- Attends scheduled Hospital department meetings.
- Performs other duties relevant to teaching and supervision of residents in the hospital's residency programs
- Minimum 3 years of experience is required
- Must have current Illinois MD or DO License
- Current DEA Licensure
- American Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Must obtain fifty (50) hours of CME annually
