What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telemetry Cardiac Monitor Tech -(Registry) position at Humboldt Park Health?
Qualifications:
- 1 years of Tele Monitoring Experience a must
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- EKG certification
- Current BLS card
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must know how to interpret Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
- Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
- Records patient rhythms and rhythm changes in the log book.
- Identifies normal and abnormal EKG rhythm pattern.
- Assesses and documents EKG rhythm abnormalities. Notifies appropriate healthcare professional in a timely manner of any changes in rhythm.
- Places patients on monitoring system according to facility’s policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned by RN, Nurse Mgr., Director.
