Job Summary :
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. As a key member of the Finance team, the Controller will manage financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within a healthcare or private equity-backed environment, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
Key Responsibilities :
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) :
- Oversee RCM Financial Reporting : Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of all revenue cycle activities, including billing, collections, and reimbursement processes, to maintain financial health and optimize cash flow.
- Analyze RCM Performance : Regularly assess key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the revenue cycle, such as days in accounts receivable (AR), denial rates, and collection rates, and work with relevant teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure Compliance with Billing and Coding Standards : Ensure proper billing, coding, and documentation practices are followed to maximize reimbursements while remaining compliant with healthcare regulations (e.g., CMS, payer contracts).
- Collaborate with Clinical and Administrative Teams : Partner with clinical and administrative departments to identify and resolve discrepancies, optimize billing processes, and streamline patient account management for more accurate and timely reimbursements.
- Financial Reporting :
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP.
Oversee daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Support the preparation of quarterly investor reports and other financial documents required by private equity investors.
Oversee cash management processes to ensure the company maintains optimal liquidity to support operations and growth initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting and finance functions to drive efficiency and scalability.
