As a Senior Database Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing the company’s data infrastructure. With the company transitioning from SQL to Snowflake, you will help lead this migration, ensuring scalable, high-performance data solutions. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to modernize database architectures, improve data workflows, and establish best practices for cloud-based data management.
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement scalable database architectures, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Lead the migration from SQL Server to Snowflake, including schema design, data transformation, and optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
- Optimize database performance, query tuning, and indexing strategies for large-scale datasets.
- Implement and enforce data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Establish best practices for database development, QA, deployment, and source code management.
- Ensure proper documentation of database structures, transformations, and business logic.
- Collaborate closely with data engineering and analytics teams to support business needs.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in database performance, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud-based data management.
