Vision for the Role : Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for all aquatics activities related to Hume sponsored Youth Camps, Adult Retreats, and Guest Groups. This includes the lakefront, pools, ponds as well as other seasonal activities for camps and retreats during the fall, winter, and spring months. The Role : Program and Equipment Oversight : Collaborate with the High Adventure Coordinator to manage Ark activities, pools, and seasonal operations (e.g., boathouse, ice skating, jeep tours). Ensure the maintenance and readiness of facilities and equipment for year-round and seasonal activities. Staff Leadership and Training : Hire, train, and supervise boathouse, lifeguard, and weekend activities staff. Lead and mentor staff and volunteers during retreats and camps. Facility and Safety Management : Conduct facility repairs, safety checks, and equipment maintenance. Oversee lifeguards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Spiritual Leadership : Provide Bible studies, mentorship, and Christ-centered leadership to staff. Uphold and model organizational beliefs and values. Qualifications and Certifications : Maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR / First Aid, Lifeguard Instructor, Pool Operator). Exhibit professional communication, project management skills, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Must be able to live in Hume Lake housing or provide private accommodations conducive to guests and conference needs. Physical Requirements : Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; may be on uneven or rugged terrain. Must be able to live and work in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds Must be able to live at high altitude and in small living quarters. Limited Out-of-town and / or overnight travel may be required. Completion of Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and / or equivalent experience in related field.
