Job Overview:
Full time is 37.5 hours weekly. 1/2 day Friday.
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide support to healthcare professionals in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics or medical offices.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for examination and assists physician and advanced practice providers during treatment/procedures, examinations and testing of patients.
-Prepares, restocks, and sterilizes examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab areas, and all other patient care areas per established policies and procedures.
-Perform clinical tasks, including measuring, records and documents vital signs.
-Records patients' medical history, health maintenance, and reason for visit and relays information to provider.
-Generates labs slips for specimens collected by the providers.
-Educates patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider; answers questions.
-Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
-Sterilize medical instruments per established standards and procedures.
-Cleans and stocks exam rooms per established standards and procedures.
- Provide medical administrative support such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and handling insurance forms.
-Relay messages from front office staff and patients to providers.
- Utilize knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and physiology to deliver quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and office staff.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients.
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in conducting vital signs assessments.
- Experience in medical clinic/ or similar medical environments.
- Knowledge of medical administrative tasks and electronic health records systems.
- Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations and patient care protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare setting and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
