Job Summary :
We are seeking a Maintenance Generalist to join our team at a pork processing facility in Waterloo, Iowa. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets to ensure smooth daily operations. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures .
Key Responsibilities :
Troubleshoot and maintain systems including hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC / DC control wiring, welding, and pneumatics .
Set up, adjust, and dismantle production machinery .
Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation .
Complete daily reports and paperwork accurately.
Work Environment :
Wet and humid conditions with temperatures ranging from 35 F to over 90 F .
Physical demands include climbing ladders, working from elevated platforms, standing, walking on hard floors , and occasionally lifting up to 60 lbs .
Requires Sunday shifts and potential overtime .
Requirements :
Former employees must observe a 180-day rehire waiting period (maximum of three employments allowed).
Minimum of 6 months of experience or training in any of the following areas :
Mechanical troubleshooting
Electrical / Electronic troubleshooting
Hydraulic troubleshooting
PLC troubleshooting and navigation
Welding / Fabrication
AC / DC Control Wiring
Motor control
3-phase wiring
Plumbing
Conveyor maintenance
Hydraulics and pneumatic systems

Work Schedule :
Open to all shifts with priority for 2nd shift candidates .
Shift flexibility is required.
