Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure effective patient care delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and infusion.
- Provide direct patient care, particularly in specialized areas such as ophthalmology or PICU as needed.
- Monitor patients' progress and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Support staff development through mentoring and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in patient care settings; experience in assisted living or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basic life support (BLS) protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus.
