Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Parts Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of parts to our dealership and service locations. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, as well as excellent negotiation skills to effectively manage procurement processes. The Parts Driver will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels and supporting demand planning efforts within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Deliver automotive parts to various dealership locations in a timely manner.
- Manage inventory levels and assist in demand planning to ensure availability of necessary parts.
- Utilize AS400 software for tracking shipments and managing parts orders.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms for procurement management.
- Operate forklifts safely to load and unload parts as needed.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline delivery processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and invoices.
- Ensure that all deliveries comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Skills
- Proficient in AS400 or similar inventory management systems.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in procurement management.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, particularly within the automotive or Small Engine industries.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and best practices.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and suppliers.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
