At Icy Strait Point, we’re looking for Bear Safety Experts to protect and guide guests through the legendary Spasski Bear Trail and ISP Hiking Trail. Your mission? Keep visitors safe, educate them on Alaska’s incredible wildlife, and deliver a one-of-a-kind experience.
What You’ll Do:?? Keep guests safe while guiding them through bear country.
?? Be the go-to expert for bear safety protocols and best practices.
?? Take charge and lead with confidence in emergency situations.
?? Maintain a friendly, professional, and informative presence at all times.
? Love for the outdoors – rain or shine, you’re ready to explore!
? Knowledge of local wildlife (or willingness to learn fast).
? Strong public speaking skills – guests love a great storyteller!
? Firearm knowledge and experience (safety first!).
? CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain one).
? Clean driving record (bonus if you’re licensed and insurable).
? Ability to walk 5 miles daily and lift 50 lbs – this is real adventure work!
