We are seeking a skilled Active Directory Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to manage and maintain both our on-premises Active Directory infrastructure and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and maintain the on-premises Active Directory environment, including administration of group policies, and the maintenance and monitoring of domain controllers.
- Manage and support complex multi-domain environments, ensuring seamless integrations, synchronization, and security across all domains.
- Implement, manage, and maintain Entra ID (Microsoft Entra ID), ensuring seamless integration with on-premises Active Directory.
- Monitor and troubleshoot directory services, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for directory services.
- Perform server management duties including patching and troubleshooting.
- Assist with migrations, upgrades, and other projects related to directory services and identity management.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
- Proven experience as an Active Directory Systems Administrator.
- In-depth knowledge of on-premises Active Directory and Entra ID (Microsoft Entra ID).
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing and deploying Microsoft Intune or similar MDM solutions
- Proficiency in Intune, Azure Active Directory (AAD), and other Microsoft 365 services
- Experience with identity management, directory services, and security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE) are a plus.
- Experience with Tanium for server management.
- Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) / Lean-Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience with CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with other MDM solutions (e.g., VMware Workspace ONE, MobileIron)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
