HunaTek is seeking a highly skilled Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee and manage security operations, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DOE), and other federal regulations. This position will support classified programs while safeguarding sensitive information. Prior experience working with Alaska Native Corporation-owned businesses is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Security Compliance:
Implement, monitor, and enforce compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD 5220.22-M, and other applicable regulations.
- FSO/CSSO Duties:
- Maintain and manage facility clearance (FCL) and personnel security clearances (PCL).
- Act as the primary liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and DOE security personnel.
- Oversee the processing of classified contracts, including DD-254 review and compliance.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain HunaTek’s security policies, procedures, and training programs for employees handling classified information.
- Inspections and Audits:
- Coordinate and lead preparation for DCSA inspections and government audits.
- Conduct self-inspections to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
- Physical Security Oversight:
- Manage and monitor security systems, including alarms, access controls, and physical barriers, to protect classified information.
- Ensure compliance with ICD 705 standards for secure facilities.
- Incident Response: Investigate security violations and incidents, submitting reports to the appropriate agencies and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HunaTek leadership, IT, legal, and program management to ensure seamless integration of security protocols into company operations.
- Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in security management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an FSO or CSSO role, including work with classified programs and government contracts.
- Extensive knowledge of NISPOM, e-QIP, and related security systems.
- Proven ability to manage security programs and ensure compliance with DoD and DOE requirements.
- Experience working with Alaska Native Corporation (ANC)-owned businesses, particularly those participating in the 8(a) program.
- Strong understanding of the unique compliance needs of ANC-owned organizations.
- Certifications such as ISP® (Industrial Security Professional) or CPP® (Certified Protection Professional).
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
