Essential Job Functions
- Solution Design and Development:
- Analyze business requirements to identify technical solutions.
- Design end-to-end architecture and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Create detailed architectural documents, diagrams, and roadmaps.
- Lead proposals in writing technical and management volumes.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, business development executives, project managers, development teams, and customers.
- Lead technical discussions to ensure alignment between technical and business teams.
- Serve as a technical advisor during the project lifecycle.
- Represent the company in public speaking and forums that demonstrate subject matter expertise.
- Technology Integration:
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and platforms to meet business needs.
- Oversee the integration of systems, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
- Governance and Best Practices:
- Enforce compliance with architectural guidelines and standards.
- Develop and implement best practices for solution architecture and design.
- Perform technical reviews and provide constructive feedback to development teams.
- Form and lead technical centers of excellence to inform other technical managers and business executives of best practices.
- Risk and Problem Management:
- Identify potential risks in the architecture and propose mitigation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve architectural issues during the development lifecycle.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role resulting in contract wins.
- Hands-on experience in software development, system design, and IT infrastructure.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) and modern architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless).
- Experience with collaborative technologies (e.g., SharePoint and ServiceNow)
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, databases, and APIs.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and data protection regulations.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent).
- Experience in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, ML, IoT, and blockchain.
