Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Summary
We are looking for someone willing to work full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (daily hours include a 30-minute lunch break). We will provide on-the-job training and shadowing. The Shipping and Receiving Associate is vital to our logistics and supply chain operations. This position is responsible for handling the flow of spare parts or other items into and out of the warehouse. Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory levels. The Associate will work in a climate-controlled Warehouse atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to lift light and heavy items repetitively, and the willingness to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Process outgoing shipments, ensuring all machine parts or items are correctly packed and labeled.
• Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders for accuracy.
• Troubleshoot any discrepancies or issues related to shipping and receiving.
• Ensure inventory and documents are maintained according to company standards.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
• when needed, communicate professionally with clients via email or phone.
• Occasional use of small and medium electrical tools (electrical saw, grinder, cutting wheel, nail gun) and pallet jack.
• Follow set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety and promote a safe working environment.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Qualifications and Preferences

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Inventory, Windows Computers, Gmail, or are open to learning how to use them.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn how to use small and medium electrical tools (electrical saw, grinder, cutting wheel, nail gun) and a pallet jack.
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods. Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions require repetitively lifting up to 50 pounds (the majority of items weigh only a few pounds, or not even a pound), and occasionally lifting and moving up to 80 pounds. The Team Member should have adequate fitness to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, occasional sitting, stooping, and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Everything in the warehouse can be reached by hand or on a short ladder. Rarely a heavy crate needs to be loaded onto a freight truck. In that situation a forklift would be used. On the job training will be provided for those not already forklift certified and familiar with it's use.
