Description
As a key member of our Tax team, the position will assume a strategic role in high level tax oversight, client relationship management, and team development. The primary day-to-day responsibilities may involve; tax planning, individual and business tax return preparation and review, building and maintaining local business professional network, strategic planning, engagement planning and oversight, quality control review, mentoring and training staff.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of Individual, Partnership, Trust, Corporation and S Corporation tax returns
- Assist with tax planning
- Team oversight, training, and development
- Networking with local businesses and community members
- Oversees tax engagements
- Review work papers and financial statements for compilation and review engagements
- Accounting solution services for small privately held business clients
- Participates and contributes to firm wide strategic planning and goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Active CPA license
- Minimum of 5 years of related public accounting experience
Qualifications
- Proficient tax knowledge
- GAAP knowledge
- Estate and Trust knowledge is helpful but not required
- Must enjoy "taking care" of their clients
- Proven time and project management skills, able to effectively manage client relationships and workload
