About the Role:
The Behavioral Health Technician plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges by providing direct care and assistance in a therapeutic environment. This position is focused on implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for clients. The technician will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate effective communication and collaboration in patient care. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus two years working in behavioral health field full time Or Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Health Field and one year working in behavioral health full time.
- First Aid, CPR, Fingerprint Clearance Card, Negative Tuberculosis Test
- Negative Drug Screening
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. Must be comfortable driving and working in inclement outdoor conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field and one year experience working in a mental health or social service setting.
- Previous experience working with individuals with mental health disorders.
- Knowledge of mental health regulations and best practices.
- 2 years horse experience and ability to walk, jog and lope horse without assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patient behavior, progress, and any changes in condition.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging situations.
- Engage patients in therapeutic activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills:

Must be able to work evenings 3:30-7:00 PM as well as weekends.
