Nanny Position: Live-In or Live-Out
Family has an apartment in the basement for a Nanny to live-in. If the candidate would rather live-out, that is agreeable as well. During the overnights, the Nanny will be able to have this private space for sleeping.
Overview
A dedicated, experienced nanny is needed for a family based in Walton, KY with two children (ages 6 and 7). The role requires flexibility, independence, and a proactive approach to childcare, family assistant, and scheduling support.
Schedule:
- During School Year: Wednesday through Sunday- overnights needed
- Candidate would have the hours 8am- 4pm free while kids are in school.
- Morning routine: 7 AM wake-up, bus drop-off by 8 AM, and after-school care from 4 PM, including homework, free time, dinner, and bedtime by 8:30 PM.
- Support may include overseeing specialized tutoring and school-related tasks.
- Flexibility required for sick days
- Summer: Full-day coverage with access to local amenities, summer camps, and community activities.
Responsibilities
- Primary focus: childcare, including facilitating routines, schoolwork, playtime, and discipline aligned with family expectations.
- Assist with household organization, including meal planning and preparing child-friendly meals.
- Transportation for school, activities, and church attendance every Sunday.
- Light household tasks (e.g., children’s laundry, tidying up, managing schedules).
- Collaborate with the parent on household needs and chores, maintaining a united approach to discipline and expectations.
- Minimal pet care (e.g., reminders for children to clean litter box).
Requirements
- Prior experience in childcare, with a focus on independent and overnight care.
- Reliable, organized, and able to match the children's outgoing energy.
- Comfortable enforcing structured but flexible routines and discipline in alignment with family guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license; a family car is provided (Traverse).
- Ability to provide coverage when children are sick or during occasional family visits.
