Salary :
Hunt Electric, Inc.is seeking an Electrical Estimator with our service department to join our team in our Salt Lake City office. The Electrical Estimator is a full time position with opportunities to grow and expand within the service department.
The Electrical Estimator will evaluate, estimate, and bid on service electrical construction projects, while seeking the opportunity to cultivate a successful and rewarding relationship with the team and clients.
Major Duties :
- Evaluate, estimate, and bid new electrical construction jobs.
- Clearly define scope of project.
- Coordinate with vendors to get accurate pricing and see who is working on project.
- Verify insurance information, bond requirements.
- Perform take offs.
- Compare equipment schedule with mechanical drawings and checking for conflicts and duplications.
- Keep notes in Accubid during takeoff.
- Interface with Electrical Engineers to clarify questions.
- Pre-job Site visit.
- Interface with General Contractor.
- Determine equipment rental needs.
- Determine permit fee amount.
- Determine Fire Stopping amount.
- List all clarifications on bid quote.
- Work with SAMs to determine project size and availability of Manpower in conjunction with project timelines.
- Other duties or locations assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications :
As a full-time Electrical Estimator , you would also be eligible for an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and paid personal time (PTO).

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7 : 00am - 4 : 30pm and Friday 7 : 00am - 2 : 00pm.
