What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Outside Wireman position at Hunt Electric?
Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Licensed Journeyman Outside Wireman to join our team.
Major Duties and Qualifications:
- Work in remote areas building substations and electrical infrastructure. It is very helpful to have a travel trailer due to some of our work being several miles from any housing services.
- Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a “Can-Do” positive attitude.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electric Code
- Be dependable, we are counting on you!
- Must be capable of operating heavy equipment such as a mini ex, trencher, JLG, bucket truck, crane.
- Must be willing to pull wire and do dirt work.
- This is a role that requires working alone at times, being able to make decisions and move forward with work, working independently and make work judgement calls on your own.
- Must be willing to travel 75% of the time.
- You will be involved in all aspects of the job from cradle to grave. This is not just doing electrical work, its a jack of all trades.
- Terminations, running conduit, trenching, standing steel and laying ground grids.
- You must have an active Utah State Journeyman electrical license
- Substation construction preferred
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License
- CDL preferred
- must be able to lift 100 pounds, pass a background and drug test.
- Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager
This full-time position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. Wok Schedule:
