Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full-time Substation Department Manager to join our team within the High Voltage Division.
The Substation Department Manager will be responsible for creating new business opportunities in the High Voltage substation marketplace, executing on department plans, managing project execution and overseeing all operations of the department.
Major Duties:
- Oversee the entirety of the substation department of the High Voltage Division.
- Implement the High Voltage Division’s business plan.
- Build a department of highly skilled substation electrical technicians and wiremen.
- Overseeing the execution of substation projects both new and retrofits.
- Managing project managers and creating and implementing business development plan to reach existing and new clients.
- ·Estimate all elements of substation projects.
- Manage profit and loss.
- Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Relentlessly optimistic.
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor team members, along with ability to work with upper management and perceptively manage a mobile team of professionals.
- Honed ability to develop and implement strategy.
- Possess a growth-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated track record of effectively manage substation projects.
- 10 years’ experience in the high voltage utility substation or substation construction industry.
- Keen desire to achieve operational, customer and financial excellence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to build spreadsheets, graphs, and data points.
- Demonstrated track record of project wins and business growth.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel outside of Utah up to 20% of the time.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am – 4:30pm and Fridays 7:00am – 2:00pm.
