This Electrical Engineer position is for a direct-hire position working for HGA in the Woodlands, TX office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engineering required for detailed design of Capital Cost Estimates, One-Line Diagrams, Motor Elementary Diagrams, Conduit & Cable Schedules, Grounding Plans & Details, Power/Control Plans & Details, Hazardous Area Classification, Heat Trace, Lighting, etc.
- Prepare specifications for Switchgear, Motor Control Centers, Transformers, Generators, UPS Systems, etc.
- Learn Company processes and procedures
- Perform calculations necessary for specifying electrical and/or instrumentation equipment, as well as Voltage Drop, Conduit Sizing, Cable Tray Sizing, etc.
- Prepare specifications for electrical and/or instrumentation equipment and materials
- Collaborate with drafters and designers to produce and edit drawing deliverables
- Utilize AutoCAD to make minor changes to drawing deliverables.
- Utilize engineering software to help assist Lead with project deliverables and calculations
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 10 years of experience in Electrical Power
- Experience using software such as ETAP, SKM, Visual Lighting Design and/or TraceCalc Pro is strongly preferred
- Show experience as a consulting engineer in the pulp/paper, wood products, specialty chemicals, oil/gas, hydrocarbon, or refinery industries
- Effectively manage time and resources
- Understand Engineering design principles and practices as spelled out in codes and standards
- Professional Engineer license required.
