Position Summary and Duties
The E&I Intern is a part-time position that supports the E&I Department by performing individual and collaborative assignments to help produce department deliverables under direct supervision. Emphasis will be placed on learning: engineering design principles, practices, and applicable codes to gain technical proficiency, as well as company processes and procedures to work efficiently and effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Gaining technical proficiency through assigned tasks and daily interactions
- Learning company processes and procedures
- Preparing specifications for electrical and/or instrumentation equipment and materials
- Learning and utilizing AutoCAD to revise and create drawing deliverables
- Learning and utilizing engineering software to assist with project deliverables and calculations
- Performing engineering support tasks, as required
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Currently enrolled in a BS degree in a respective field at an ABET-accredited program
- Junior status
