Power Distribution Designer / Staker I Essential Job Functions :
- Responsible for assisting in the design of medium voltage distribution lines and member service lines for a variety of electric utility clients.
- Design projects include some field work, equipment inventory, and determining the best route for the new or rebuilt line.
- Will often work with more senior employees in the field, acting as a design or staking assistant.
- Assists in obtaining field measurements and prepares preliminary sketches.
- Assists in the collection and analysis of data from reports, maps, drawings, product catalogs, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
- Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
- Prepares and checks design computations and quantity estimates.
- Performs site visits or field assignments as required.
