The Role : Commercial Real Estate Finance Counsel | Chicago, IL
We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Finance Counsel to join one of our prestigious clients' Real Estate Finance Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team on sophisticated real estate finance transactions within a collaborative and innovative environment.

The firm represents prominent institutional lenders, private equity firms, and real estate developers in large, complex commercial real estate transactions.

In this position, you will :
- Lead transactions for lenders from inception through closing and post-closing phases.
- Handle loan origination for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity deals.
- Manage asset management, workouts, and secondary market repurchase facility work.
- Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of financial agreements and transaction documents.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients regarding exit strategies and market developments.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused legal services.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this Commercial Real Estate Finance Counsel role is a highly motivated legal professional with significant transactional real estate finance experience and a collaborative, client-focused approach.
Key attributes of the ideal candidate include :
3 years of broad real estate finance experience.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex financial agreements.
Client Service : Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
