The Role : Patent Prosecution Associate | Seattle, WA

We are seeking a skilled and driven Patent Prosecution Associate to join one of our prestigious clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking legal matters in a collaborative and innovative environment.

In this position, you will :

Prepare and prosecute patent applications in the areas of electrical engineering, computer science, data science, and physics.
Draft detailed and persuasive office action responses to patent examiners and clients.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their inventions and develop robust intellectual property strategies.
Provide strategic counsel on patentability and assist with global patent portfolio management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We're looking for candidates who bring :

Experience : At least 2 years of experience as a patent associate or patent agent.

Credentials : JD from an accredited law school, active USPTO registration number, and bar admission (or eligibility to waive in) in Washington State.

Expertise : Background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or equivalent experience.

Communication : Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Client Focus : Strong ability to draft patent applications and office action responses, with a focus on persuasive argumentation and strategic counsel.
