Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Job Description
Our hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial operations and drive long-term sustainability. As a key member of our executive team, you will oversee financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle, and compliance, ensuring the hospital's financial health while supporting its mission to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the hospital's mission and goals.
- Direct financial planning, budgeting, and accounting functions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal/state reporting, and healthcare regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with financial institutions, medical staff, and the community.
- Monitor financial performance and provide key reports to leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- CPA, CMA, or FHFMA certification (preferred but not required).
- At least 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare or a related industry.
- Expertise in Critical Access Hospital finance or similar healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models and financial regulations.
