A Brief Overview
Greater than 75 percent of time is spent maintaining the warehouse and providing service to technicians by issuing equipment materials, supplies and tools and maintaining the warehouse by stocking, receiving materials, supplies and tools efficiently. Specialists electronically check in and out materials and equipment and receive parts and materials.
What you will do
- Supports the issuing of supplies to technicians and employees for maintenance activities such as equipment materials, supplies and tools physically and electronically.
- Maintains the warehouse by stocking, receiving materials, supplies and tools efficiently both physically and electronically.
- Ensures a safe, clean, and tidy warehouse as well as maintenance facilities and comply with proper safety and environmental policies for storage, recording, and reporting requirements (including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all materials).
- Maintains tool and equipment logs for all Project owned tools and ensure all are maintained in the working order. Informs the Maintenance Manager or Director of Maintenance of tool and equipment requirements.
- Supports regular warehouse and vehicle inventories in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Maintains reuse and recycling collections for maintenance operations.
- This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.
- Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property.
- Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
- Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
- Performs any additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Contributes to a positive team environment and happy resident base.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Vocational or Technical training Preferred
- less than 1 year Required
- Computer Literacy - Experience with computer systems required which, include web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which includes Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
- Written Communications - Read, and write in English in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively with clients, visitors and other organization staff; and respond to basic questions.
- Oral Communications- Understand spoken English in order to follow basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively in basic English with clients, visitors and organization staff in response to routine questions.
- Knowledge- Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in routine situations. Specialized knowledge not required.
- Team Work- Interact respectfully with other clients, visitors, organization staff and/or external contacts to offer ideas, identify issues, obtain information or deliver services.
- Customer Service- Demonstrate a positive attitude and respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner.
- Flexibility/Adaptability- Work is fairly routine from day to day. Employee follows a set pattern with any changes being communicated by supervisor.
- Attention to Task/ Work Pace Maintenance- Work requires close attention to task for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the work day do not compromise the work.
- DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State Required
- Certificate 1 - Certified in forklift operation Preferred
