Position Overview:
The Pre-Owned Automotive Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on pre-owned vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring that every vehicle meets our rigorous standards before it reaches our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of pre-owned vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to determine the cause of problems
- Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system work
- Document all work performed and communicate findings and recommendations to the Service Advisor and/or customer
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines
- Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training or certification is preferred
- Seasoned Technician with at least 2 years of experience with electric and diagnostics
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on pre-owned vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- ASE certification(s) or other relevant automotive certifications are a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
