Technician- Installer Level 2

Technician-Installer Level 2 :(Full-Time):

Job Summary:

The Level 2 Installer will be expected to pull transport cables, coax cables, power cables, fiber cables and be able to assist with the installations. The Level 2 Installer will be directly supervised and instructed by a Stockton Telecom manager or a Level 3 or a Level 4 Installer. The Level 2 Installer will not perform Level 3 and above work operations/job activities unless properly supervised. The Level 2 Installer will also be expected to assist in the performance of Self-Quality Checks at the end of each project.


Installer Level 2 responsibilities include:

• • Directly supervised and instructed by a Stockton Telecom manager or Level 3 or Level 4 installer.
• • Capable of performing the following work operations/job activities:
• • • Addition or removal of non-powered or passive equipment
  • - Addition or removal of wiring and connections (on non- working equipment only and switchboard cable only)
  • • Lead verification.
• • Not perform Level 3 or Level 4 work operations/job activities unless properly supervised.
• • Not progress to Level 3 without a minimum of 4 years’ experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by Stockton Telecom

Qualifications-Skill sets required by a Level 2 Installer:

• • Minimum of 1-1/2 years’ experience, or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by Stockton Telecom
• • Prior AT&T Office work preferred.

The Level 2 Technician may be expected to, and must be capable of performing the following:

• • Climb a ladder.
• • Climb stairs (up and down)
• • Physically lift to 50 pounds (or more)
• • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
• • Pull cable/wires.
• • Ability to wear protective equipment/apparel.
• • Operate safely on worksite.
