What you will do:
- Work with Project Managers on high novelty new product development projects in a variety of ways:
- Monitor & follow up on specific tasks as directed by Project Manager
- Take notes at certain meetings to report back to Project Manager
- Work with the Project Manager on strategic analyses of particular tasks, resources, or risks
- Harmonize formatting and perform first passes of critical PowerPoint presentations (Exit Reviews, Leadership Updates)
- Assist with meeting scheduling and preparation of rooms for formal meetings
- Perform data entry in Smartsheet & Resource Management from meeting notes & other available databases and report on any uncovered risks or opportunities
- Manage collection, trialing, implementation, notification, and version control of NPD improvements
- Ensure consistency in look & feel, terminology, etc. across all NPD documents & assets
- Ensure data quality for Portfolio Smartsheet assets
- Perform various analyses on accrued schedule data: identifying task patterns and translating them into std work packages, identifying typical areas where iterations are required and # of iterations, identifying tasks that are typically behind/ahead of schedule, etc.
- Experimentation and implementation of unexplored but available Smartsheet & Resource Management features
- Occasionally support Product Improvement Engineering with potential fixture design (or related) work
- Additional duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications Include:
- Minimum 2.5 GPA (must be on resume)
- Major study in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Hands-on experience using tools preferred
- Strong critical thinking and positive attitude
