- Minimum BS in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering degree.
- 1-4 years of hands-on experience in development, testing, and delivery of highly reliable complex systems
- Familiarity with testing equipment, best practices and methodologies for stress testing, environmental testing, and accelerated life testing to assess product durability and reliability under various conditions in a regulated industry.
- Experience with Squish, Arduino, Python, SQL, Java or other programming languages for test automation, data analysis, and visualization
- Prefer experience within automotive industry

As a Test Engineer:
What you will do:
Test Protocol Execution & Reporting
- Complete test plans and protocols for electrical, mechanical, and vision projects. Including on-site Alpha testing through initial off-site Beta testing
- Participate in weekly project meetings to provide key design for reliability inputs to mitigate risks from first prototypes to first customer shipment and beyond.
- Identify and present issues during design verification testing, and escalates new or persistent failures to appropriate engineering teams
- Perform failure analysis to identify root cause and help develop process/design mitigations collaborating with mechanical, electrical and software engineering teams to rapidly implement corrective actions and resolve system issues
- Clearly documents test results and observations in test reports
Other Responsibilities
- Collaborate with test technicians on test methods and procedures
- Ensures successful, on-time completion of department projects; communicates constraints to direct management when project completion is at risk
- Assist in assembly and overall testing of P1-P3 Prototype builds from the Manufacturing plant(s)
Additional Qualifications Include:
- Understanding of automotive service equipment as it relates to equipment manufactured by Hunter Engineering Company
- Knowledge of Phase Gate NPD or NPI process for new product development
- Previous experience in test fixture design or automation is a plus
- Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and present logical conclusions based on customer experiences
- Ability to work independently, regularly reporting progress and status of testing
- Excellent project management, written & verbal communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills
- Must have Microsoft tools and computer operating systems.

- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical & mechanical equipment issues.
