- Minimum BS in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.
- Minimum 4 years work experience in an engineering organization or product test team environment.
- Prefer experience within automotive industry.
- Product Verification/Validation experience in a regulated industry is required.

This role will conduct Beta testing of Hunter Engineering Company software, hardware, and other equipment with our industry partners.
As a Validation Engineer:
What you will do:
Test Protocol Development, Execution & Reporting
- Develop
sverification and validation test plans and protocols for electrical, mechanical, and vision projects. Including critical criteria for on-site Alpha testing through Beta site selection and field-testing durations. - Lead Product User Acceptance Testing and channel feedback to appropriate teams
- Develop
stesting methods to ensure design requirements are verified through collaboration with cross functional teams - Identifies and presents issues during design verification testing, and escalates new or persistent failures to appropriate engineering teams
- Proactively engages with appropriate engineering teams on the failure investigation and root cause analysis
- Clearly documents test results and observations in test reports
Test Fixture Development
- Outlines functional design requirement(s) for new test fixtures/cycle testers and other test aids needed to perform Design Verification, Stress tests, and Life/Reliability tests
- Proactively identifies and develops processes and test methods that could benefit from new or updated fixture designs by engaging with R&D Engineers
- Responsible for documentation of fixtures utilizing Arduino, or other test scripts; release appropriate documentation for the current design requirements
Other Responsibilities
- Effectively translate the functional requirements into appropriate acceptance criteria for testcases and test methods.
- Train test technicians on test methods and procedures
- Ensures successful, on-time completion of department projects; communicates constraints to direct management when project completion is at risk
- Verifies and ensures adequate supply of test articles and other equipment or materials
- Assist in assembly and overall testing of P1-P3 Prototypes from the Factory
- Assist Test Engineering Team with Alpha Field Testing
- Perform Environmental Testing
Additional Qualifications Include:
- In-depth understanding of automotive service equipment as it relates to equipment manufactured by Hunter Engineering Company
- Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and present logical conclusions based on customer experiences.
- Must have Microsoft tools and computer operating systems.
- Working knowledge of undercar service issues is a plus
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical & mechanical equipment issues.
