What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Painter position at Hunter Foundry Machinery?
The Industrial Painter :
is responsible for applying paints, lacquers, enamels, and similar coatings to Hunter machinery and parts, of many different materials and sizes.
Uses various techniques to apply paint including sprays, rollers, and brushes. Also responsible for cleaning and preparing the surface itself and masking it prior to painting.
Must clean up the work area after each step of preparation and painting is done.
- Responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting a variety of fabricated components using an in-house paint booth
- Continuously evaluate the finished product to uphold quality standards
- Experience with using various tools/equipment and mechanical aptitude required, some painting experience required.
- Able to read and accurately chemical hazard labels and paint-color schematic drawings.
- Able to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude
- Perform all work duties in a safe, professional, punctual, and efficient manner
- Perform basic housekeeping and maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Must be willing to perform other duties/tasks that are of a reasonable request, including mandatory overtime when needed
