Key Responsibilities
- Work with suppliers to ensure product quality meets internal and customer specifications.
- Support and lead the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process, including PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation, ensuring new product launches meet quality requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term corrective actions to address supplier quality issues, ensuring root cause analysis is completed.
- Provide support to the production floor in addressing any supplier-related issues and ensure timely resolution of quality problems.
- Support the development of new supplier relationships and provide guidance on quality standards and performance expectations.
- Participate in and contribute to quality audits, supplier assessments, and risk mitigation activities.
- Utilize data to track supplier performance and recommend improvements or corrective actions as necessary.
- Experience: A few years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, or equivalent in a related quality control or manufacturing role. Experience in APQP, PPAP, and new program launches is a plus.
- Education: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Quality or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in developing countermeasures to address supplier issues on the plant floor.
- Solid understanding of quality standards, manufacturing processes, and supplier management.
- Proficiency in APQP and PPAP processes.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in Spanish being a significant advantage.

- Ability to work in a team environment and manage cross-functional relationships.
- Willingness to take ownership and drive results.
- Stability in past employment, demonstrating a commitment to roles over time.
- Experience with plant floor problem-solving and supplier issue resolution.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), control plans, and statistical analysis tools.
