About This Role:
The EHS Coordinator assists in the development and implementation of the company’s safety and loss control programs to protect Hunter employees, visitors, property and assets from injury or loss.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
- Works with the Risk Department, Management and Employees to ensure compliance with Hunter’s safety policies, procedures, and trainings, including but not limited to, ergonomic assessments, industrial hygiene surveys, evacuation drills, respirator fit testing, safety inspections, and hazardous waste disposal.
- Manages the inventory and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment, including safety boots, prescription safety glasses, respirators, and masks.
- Maintains safety records, data, and files to ensure the Risk Department follows state and federal regulations, and “audit-ready” always.
- Responds to incidents including medical emergencies, power outages, floods, and fires.
- Prepares for and facilitates regular safety representative team meetings. Engages safety representatives and ensures they complete the tasks assigned to them.
- Updates and maintains chemical inventory, SDSs, and Certificates of Insurance.
- Works occasional overtime and 2nd and 3rd shift hours.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Completion of the OSHA 30-Hour or equivalent work experience.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification.
Experience Required and Preferred:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Environmental, Health & Safety field.
What You Bring:
- Effective team building, presentation, and project management skills required. Demonstrated effective planning, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems with an in-depth knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications in a PC environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills required, along with the ability to manage details and follow projects through to completion.
- Ability to self-initiate activities and work within timelines. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Ability to make sound judgments and respond to emergency situations in a calm manner.
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic principles of accident prevention and safety is preferred.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of employee training is preferred.

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $25.03 to $37.72
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
