Sr. Geotechnical Engineer will play a key role, and serve as Team Lead, of the Geotech Team in performing geotechnical explorations and investigations for our clients
Sr. Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities :
- Performing geotechnical explorations, site characterizations, slope stability assessments, and risk evaluation on developments.
- Training and supervision of lab technicians, maintenance of quality reviews and certifications, management of equipment inventory and calibration, client marketing and proposal preparation.
- Training and development of lesser-experienced Engineers (EI / EIT and new PEs).
- Tracking project progress in both timeline and budget / profit-loss capacities.
- Assisting Marketing with the technical aspects in generating proposals.
- Overseeing quality of work submitted (QA / QC).
- Ability to work independently on broad projects with oversight / supervision by the Dept. Manager.
- Providing direction on a project to project basis – i.e. preparing lab testing assignments, reviewing documents, and testing results for content and accuracy.
- Preparing geotechnical engineering reports.
- Interacting with clients on technical aspects of the projects.
- Reviewing soils laboratory test results.
- Assisting in planning and the execution of subsurface investigation programs - including the understanding of project design plans, locating test borings at project sites, coordinating underground utility clearance.
- Design development and analysis of earth embankments, earth retaining structures and anchoring systems.
- Performing analysis and design of shallow and deep foundations and slope stability evaluations.
- Monitoring and enforcing quality control standards and specifications.
