What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reliability Engineer position at Hunter Recruiting?
The Reliability Engineer will be response for applying engineering practices to drive out sources of repetitive failure in equipment processes.
Reliability Engineer Requirements:
- Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
- Facilitate or support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and corrective action planning.
- Identify critical assets and prioritize maintenance activities based on impact.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to implement sustainable equipment solutions.
- Support and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Develop and optimize asset maintenance strategies using industry best practices.
- Lead training on reliability concepts, PM methodologies, and precision maintenance.
- Partner with capital project teams to ensure equipment maintainability.
- Manage external vendors and support teams on reliability-related projects.
- Guide continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment uptime and lifecycle cost.
- Assist/Learn and eventually facilitate Root Cause analysis/Root Cause Failure Analysis.
Reliability Engineer Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or reliability roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Operations, or related field.
- Experience with CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
- Knowledge of TPM, condition-based monitoring (vibration, thermography, etc.).
- Familiarity with reliability tools like FMECA, RCFA, ECR, and Pareto analysis.
- CMRP certification preferred.
- Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
