Are you a seasoned Benefits professional with a deep understanding of compliance and a passion for employee well-being? Our company is seeking a Sr. Benefits Analyst to join our team onsite in South Houston. In this role, you will oversee and administer the organization's medical, ancillary (dental, vision, life, disability) benefits, HSA, and 401(k) plans while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits throughout the lifecycle (open enrollment, new hires, terminations, qualifying life events).
- Conduct benefits analysis to assess plan effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, brokers, and employees regarding benefit-related matters.
- Lead employee education efforts on benefit programs, policies, and available resources.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive and cost-effective benefit offerings.
- Oversee payroll reconciliation for benefits deductions and ensure accuracy.
- Support annual auditing, compliance testing, and required filings (5500s, non-discrimination testing, ACA reporting, etc.).
- Stay up to date on and ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, ACA, ADA, Medicare, Social Security, Safe Harbor, IRS & DOL regulations, FLSA, Wage and Hour laws, and other applicable requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5-7 years of recent experience in benefits administration (specialist or management roles).
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, federal/state regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience managing vendor/broker relationships and negotiating benefits contracts.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
