Program Overview:
The Dealership Management Trainee Program is a structured development program designed for a high-energy, team-oriented individual looking to pursue leadership opportunities within the heavy-duty truck industry. Through this program, you’ll gain hands-on experience in various departments and prepare for leadership roles within the Hunter Truck network.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be assigned a full-time role within the dealership network, continuing to grow in your career path.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30PM
- Location: 9981 Old Route 22, Breinigsville, PA 18031
What You’ll Learn and Do:
- Department Rotations – Gain experience in key areas like Parts, Service, Truck Sales, Leasing, Finance, and Corporate.
- Customer Relationship Building – Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, management, and vendors.
- Hands-On Training – Complete training modules and gain practical experience in each department.
- Leadership Development – Focus on skills like team leadership, problem-solving, and customer service.
- OEM & Vendor Training – Attend specialized events and training sessions. Some travel and evening/weekend work required.
- Weekly & Monthly Check-ins – Participate in recap meetings with department managers and corporate support to track progress.
- Licensing & Certifications – Obtain your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and relevant certifications throughout the program.
Qualifications:
- Education: College Degree preferred or 2 years of work experience in the heavy-duty truck industry (or a related field).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, customer service experience, and basic truck knowledge.
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet navigation.
- Personality: High-energy, self-driven, with excellent attention to detail and leadership potential.
Certifications:
- CDL preferred (can be obtained during the program).
- Valid Driver's License (must meet company insurability standards).
- Vehicle Sales License (if required, can be obtained upon hire).
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to walk, drive, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds in some cases). You'll need the ability to balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch as part of your daily duties. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
