Hunter Truck Is Hiring! Hunter Truck is currently hiring an experienced Field Service Technician that will be based out of Erie, PA.

SUMMARY
Functions as an experienced technician who is able to perform diagnosis and repairs of most vehicle components without supervision required, and who has previously worked as a B Class, or above, general service technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Work at customer job sites.
- Perform work with little to no supervision as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
- Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
- Daily communication with the between dealership departments of agenda for workflow accommodations.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Open Electronic Diagnostic System (EDS) cases on all Cummins work. Open Total Customer Solutions (TCS) cases with MX Wiring, ABS or any general questions.
- Assist other technicians in major repairs.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Ensure that customers' vehicles are kept clean per dealership standards
- Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Vocational/technical school graduate with a minimum of five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have experience in engine and driveline troubleshooting; electrical repair and air conditioning systems; must have component overhaul experience and/or specialty (A/C or electrical) experience.
- Must have good supply of most hand tools to complete most repairs
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications required
- Drive Train Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck required
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck required
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification (Class 7) required
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or above required; must meet company insurability standards
- Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards
- MX Engine Certified required
- Cummins MD and HD Certification required
