Position Overview:

As a Service Driver, you will be responsible for picking up and delivering CDL and non-CDL trucks to and from other locations, shops, customers, and vendors. You will also assist with lot maintenance, ensuring the facility runs smoothly and efficiently.

Position Details:

• Status: Part-time

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Location: Buffalo, NY

• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

• Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • 3-5 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills to manage various situations that require common sense understanding and the ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License required (must meet company insurability standards).

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and medical card required.

Essential Duties:

• Truck Pick-Up and Delivery: Safely transport CDL and non-CDL trucks to and from different locations, shops, customers, and vendors.

• Lot Maintenance: Assist in keeping the parking lot organized and clean.

• Vehicle Inspections: Perform service road tests and courtesy inspections of vehicles.

• Fueling & Receipts: Ensure vehicles are fueled and submit receipts for records.

• General Assistance: Help clean the shop, remove trash, and assist with part pickups and deliveries when necessary.

• Record Keeping: Complete log books and maintain accurate records for vehicle movements.

• Other Duties: Additional tasks may be assigned as needed, supporting daily operations.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.

• Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.

• Must be able to adjust focus and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

• Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

• Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.

• Noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate.
