HUNTER is looking for a Client Finance Analyst to assist in providing financial support to the agency’s account teams and monitoring the fee/out of pocket finances & budgets related to specific client accounts and jobs/projects. This in-office role offers finance/accounting training and growth at a dynamic and highly successful marketing communications firm that is repeatedly named a “Best Places To Work” and has been nominated/named the “Consumer Agency of the Year” three years in a row. The full-time finance associate position (3-4 days in office) reports to the Client Finance Lead and the Managing Director of a business unit. The position supports a team of passionate finance/accounting professionals dedicated to providing accurate reporting and information to internal business units, Stagwell and the agency leaders who drive revenue growth and profitability with the information you will be providing.


Job responsibilities include tracking client fee and OOP budgets in the agency’s Maconomy system, reconciling credit card charges and being the liaison between the Finance team and the agency client account team.

The position is ideal for career-forward candidates with entry-level accounting or finance education and interest in the public relations, communications or marketing services industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Providing financial support, information, reports and timely and accurate service to client account teams and agency leaders.
  • Providing professional, error-free reports and financial analysis in the review of results and summary of monthly billings and reconciliations.
  • Developing an expert proficiency with the agency’s Maconomy system and becoming a go-to-operator and trouble-shooter of the system’s capabilities.
  • Securing client P.O. or necessary work/payment authorizations and ensure adherence to contract billing policies and workflow procedures, as well as monitor accounts receivable status and follow-up on aged balances with client.
  • Assisting in inter-company payables and receivables, as needed.
  • Assisting in all internal and external audits, as needed.
  • Assisting in Sarbanes Oxley initiatives, as needed.
  • Participating in Ad Hoc projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in corporate finance or accounting required.
  • 1 – 2 years of related financial analysis and/or accounting experience, preferably within an advertising, marketing, public relations, or service industry environment;
  • Experience within a public company is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting (Balance Sheet, A/R, P&Ls, etc.) is required.
  • Technology adept and a fast learner of new applications including the agency’s financial platform (Maconomy).
  • Experience with Maconomy, or similar financial reporting tool (for example Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Workday) is a plus.
  • A positive, service-minded attitude and adherence to company policies (including 3-4 days per week in office).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and interest in teamwork.
  • Proven experience with MS Office, especially Excel.


In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $65,000-75,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
