What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Nurse position at Hunterdon Central Regional High School?
- The school nurse will conduct appropriate health services as mandated by BOE policy and new Jersey Law.
- Maintain familiarity with current trends and practices in the field of school health and work in collaboration with the School Medical Examiner.
- Serve as a resource to the Child Study Team, as well as the I&RS Committee.
- Complete and submit reports to the Superintendent and the State Board of Health.
- Conduct routine drug screens and maintain accurate information.
- Implement policy on exclusion and re-admission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases.
Requirements:
- New Jersey School Nurse Certification
- RN (emergency certified or willing to get emergency certificate)
