The Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission is seeking an individual to assist the Executive Director with Division initiatives and operations. As a trainee and productive worker, receives on the job training in analytic practices/procedures and their application; completes assignments which will provide practical analyst experience and assist with grant programs administered by the Division.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Make updates to the Commission’s pages on the County website, huntART.org, huntHISTORY.org and the Commission’s Facebook page.
Assist with event bookings for Historic Courthouse including managing the event calendar, ensuring that all paperwork is received and processed, and coordinating with other Divisions and Departments (e.g., Buildings and Grounds).
Assist with coordination of the Galleries at the Historic Courthouse including managing the gallery calendar, ensuring that all paperwork is received and processed, and installation and breakdown of exhibits.
Assist with grant programs administered by the Division including the updating and creation of application, reporting forms and performance contracts, correspondence with grant panelists, applicants, and re-grantees, and reviewing grant applications.
Assist with the planning and execution of events including the annual Teen Arts Festival and Dancing on the Green.
Attend and participate in monthly Cultural & Heritage meetings (10 times per year).
Process payroll, requisitions, and purchase orders for the Division.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Credentials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills; must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient/advanced knowledge of applications and platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, and Publisher), Nitro-pro, Adobe, and WordPress.
Requirements: Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field is preferred; related experience may be considered in lieu of education. Current NJ driver’s license.
