Position Summary

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
Minimum of two years experience as staff RN. Minimum of one year experience as cardiovascular RN.
Preferred:
Previous experience in cardiac catheterization nursing
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
Current NJ RN licensure and BLS and ACLS certification.
Preferred:
Certification in specialty, PCCN, CCRN, Cardiac Vascular
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
â— Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education.
â— Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, vent training, critical care, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP and EndTidal CO2, IABP, Impella, and other procedure related technologies.
â— Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
