Position Summary
Performs all nuclear medicine examinations that create the images needed for diagnosis; and integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information.
Primary Position Responsibilities
â—Maintain high degree of accuracy and quality in patient positioning, machine set-up, radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition and post-processing.
â—Follow all National Patient Safety Goals.
â—Provide recordkeeping of patient history and symptoms, dose administration, machine quality control and radiation surveys.
â—Review orders, explain procedure, answer questions and provide a high level of patient satisfaction.
â—Maintains cleanliness of department and assures adequate supply inventory.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent education
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
None
Preferred:
1-2 years nuclear medicine technology experience
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
ARRT Registry or NMTCB Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or registry-eligible and NJDEP Nuclear Medicine License

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Knowledge and skill to perform nuclear medicine examinations; and ability to integrate scientific knowledge and technical skills to effectively interact with all patients to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information.
